As it turns out, that go-get-’em Trout work ethic of mine can’t conquer this cold and flu season. I even missed a performance of my show. I’ve never missed a performance (that I wasn’t teching; you can get subs for tech) since I started doing community theater like thirty years ago, but this crud hit me hard. We’ll resume recaps next week.
I’m still alive. Kind of.

Hope you get well soon.
Feel better Jenny!
Close the laptop, pour more hot tea, and stay in bed, poor darling. Hope you feel better soon!
Feel better soon
Get better soon Jen! It’s just hit me again too, this flu season sucks.
I blame the Michigan weather. Take care of yourself. Better yet, get Mr. Jen to care for you. Sending you healing energy!

Feel better!!! xoxo
I hope you’re feeling better after some good rest!!
Feel better soon!
I feel you on never having missed a performance…it’s one of the reasons I had to quit theatre when my injury happened. (Though I was able to finish up the show I was in when it happened, even if I did miss most of the rehearsals while regaining my ability to walk.) Just too risky for me to continue.
Take a rest! Your recaps are great and we’ll wait. Your illness is probably getting worsened by the stress of all you’re juggling.
Jenny, get better. Read a good book while you recover. Even if it’s only for 10 minutes at a time.
Ooh!
While we wait for Jenny, I’d like to nominate a book for the Jealous Writer’s Book Club. This is a book that’s the exact opposite of Jealous Haters: 1) Well written, 2) Amazing Characters ( each with their own unique voice), 3) Completely organic conflict. 4) Riveting story. IOW, a novel we all wished we wrote, and aren’t too proud to admit we’re really jealous of the work that went into it.
So, my first offering (my wife raved about it, bought it for me, and I finished it in 4 days) is Sea Of Rust, by C. Robert Cargill, a post apocalyptic story about robots who, after eliminating humans, are about to be wiped out themselves by the next generation AI’s.
Can’t recommend it enough.
For anyone who picks it up, I hope you enjoy it as much as my wife and I did!
Jenny, Heal! (Sounds like a command to a dog, right? Don’t mean it that way. Just take care of yourself!!)
I hope you feel better soon xxx
I’m blaming Eel. The Mister has destroyed both your immune system and your will to live. Take a break and I hope you feel better soon!
I’m late to the party but I third or fourth or twentieth the above sentiments! Rest up and I hope you feel better soon. I’m personally so glad I have today off… ugh. I’ve felt so busy and so drained and I’m not sick today (although I did get sick my last day off and it was such a waste.) My schedule is pretty bare bones though; I’m not sure how you managed to fit a theater performance in with everything else! So, yeah, take as much of a break as you need to. I’m eager for the next recap but I can easily find something else to fill my time until you’re ready. 🙂
Aww, colds suck, hope you’re feeling better
