Two and a half years late, but to the woman who says that people from Ontario and Michigan sound exactly alike… what??? I’m from Ontario and have been to Michigan several times. People from Ontario generally have that “flat newscaster” non-accent, whereas the Michigan accent is very distinctive.
Yes! I get Detroit channels where I live, and people from Michigan definitely have a pronounced accent compared to people from Ontario.
