  4. I do auditions for theater, and have anxiety issues, so boy, it is such a big deal just getting myself to an appointment. I've taken advice from Kyle MacLachlan on Twin Peaks and taken to giving myself a piece of chocolate or something afterwards to remind myself that even if I don't get a job, it was a big deal that I went out and auditioned anyway.

    To add to D-Rock's breathing thing, it can help to breathe out longer than you breathe in. That's one of the coping mechanisms I learned in therapy for my panic attacks, it's got something to do w the effect of flooding the blood w carbon dioxide. Just breathe in to the count of 10, and out to the count of 12.
