I don&#8217;t want to disparage the year too much; I think I doomed us when I did that to 2015. But here are what I believe to be the highlights of this blog (from my perspective) in 2016, though even some of the highlights are dubious. And stay tuned until the end, where I will reveal the single best and worst things that happened to me in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=9963\">I pissed off second amendment stans.\u00a0<\/a>It went just about as well as one would expect.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10022\">I &#8220;attacked&#8221; another author for the paltry sin of victim blaming a child and defending a pedophile.\u00a0<\/a>Again, went just about as well as one would expect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>February<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10133\">A gunman tried to take away the spirit of Kalamazoo, but he just made it stronger.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10097\">We shared a very special Valentine&#8217;s day with Christian Grey and Anastasia Rose Grey Steele.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>March<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I went on a <a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10182\">Jamaican Troutcation<\/a>, courtesy of Apple Vacations!<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Troutcation Part 2: \u201cLet\u2019s Just Get This Part Out Of The Way Because I Know You\u2019re All Waiting For It\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10198\">The weed was excellent!<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Unexpected things happened!<a title=\"Troutcation Part 3: \u201cThings I Did Not Expect\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10210\"> Like turtle sex!<\/a><\/li>\n<li>And you all got some <a title=\"Troutcation Part 4: \u201cExtremely Specific Travel Tips\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10216\">travel tips<\/a> out of the deal!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jennytrout.com\/?p=10207\">Unfortunately, author egos also reigned during March.<\/a>\u00a0Nobody likes self-publishing. Capaldi wished me a happy birthday.<\/a>\u00a0WTFOMGBBQ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, that&#8217;s Trout Nation&#8217;s 2016 in a nutshell. Let&#8217;s hope 2017 is less &#8220;interesting&#8221; and comes with more happiness and cheer, so our 2017 round up is better and less bleak!
