Hello everyone, I hope all is well with you! I\u2019m Lisa Orchard the author of the bestselling Super Spies series. I\u2019m here today to share with you an exciting project that I\u2019ve been working on; it\u2019s called \u201cBooks on Base.”\u00a0\"Books<\/a><\/p>\n

The purpose of \u201cBooks on Base\u201d is to gather children\u2019s books and donate them to our military bases. I\u2019m working in conjunction with VolunTEEN Nation on this project. VolunTEEN Nation is an organization that encourages teens to volunteer. They have volunteer opportunities throughout the United States. We\u2019re hoping to improve the selection of books for the young people whose parents are serving our country. As we all know by improving the libraries, we\u2019ll improve the literacy levels of those bases. Lisa Orchard grew up loving books. She was hooked on mysteries by the fifth grade and even wrote a few of her own. She knew she wanted to be a writer even then. \u201cThe Super Spies and the Pied Piper\u201d is the third book in the \u201cSuper Spies\u201d series. Her first book was published in March of 2012 and it has received rave reviews.<\/p>\n

After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Marketing Degree she spent many years in the insurance industry, pining to express her creative side. The decision to stay home with her children gave her the opportunity to follow her dream and become a writer. She currently resides in Rockford Michigan with her husband, Steve, and two wonderful boys.<\/p>\n

Currently, she\u2019s working on her fourth novel, a Coming of Age Young Adult Novel. When she\u2019s not writing she enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking, and reading.<\/p>\n
