Sex, Lies, and Inventions!

Posted in Uncategorized

Because it’s a holiday tomorrow, I’ve released my short story, Sex, Lies, and Inventions, today. That way, if the links or downloads don’t work, I’ll be around to field those problems. You can find the links to download .mobi, .epub, and .pdf files on my website, in the Pay What You Want library, but  no donation is expected!!!! I just didn’t want to make a separate page for free stuff. This is just a taste to introduce you to Feebee and the Professor, who will see their own novel, Raptors of The Great Plains, in December, 2013.

Have a super holiday if you’re celebrating, and if you’re not, have a good Sunday!

EDIT: If you are on a mobile phone or iPad or Kindle or whatever dagblasted new-fangled technology these crazy kids have today, that link up there won’t work. So use these:

Hopefully that will work for you. Ya crazy kids ya.

GUH. I was super dumb and blew my entire paycheck, like, the day I got it. So I have no monies in my bank account right now.

Downloading for free right now; will give you a donation when I get paid Wednesday (because I'm super dumb and I'm going to blow it all in one day again XD).

  2. Don't worry about it! This one is totally free, I just didn't want to make two separate pages.

  4. “When she's not hard at work providing writing. . .she doesn't exist. Because she is just a pseudonym and not an actual person.”

One of the many reasons why I've grown addicted to your writing. You validate and encourage my inner snark and spotted hyena.

  5. Huh. That's a good question. Let me look into it, I'll make a friend with an iPad try to download it and see what happens. More to come!

  7. Is that also where you get to donate just because you like the blog? I tried, but it said there was something wrong with the checkout. But that could be my fault because I also didn't download anything. It also said try again later, so I will.

  8. Now I'm torn… Do I love Simon or Neil? Gah! Too many choices! Maybe an amalgam? Seil? Or Nimon?

I totally went “oh snap” when I saw how you used “aperture”. Now THAT is a proper metaphor for vagina, none of this “down there” nonsense.

BTW … your blog inspired me to start working on improving the Fifty Shades wiki (http://fiftyshadesofgrey.wikia.com/wiki/Fifty_Shades_Of_Grey_Wiki). I was trying to recall some minor detail about the book for an argument I was making and needed a quick reference. You would think fans of the series would keep that thing pristine, right? Shit was a TRAINWRECK. Everything not plagiarized from wikipedia looked like it was written by ten year olds whose first, second, and third languages were not English. I've only been working on it for four days and I'm already one of the top 5 editors, lol. I'm hoping that fixing it up will help people like you who are fighting the good fight. So far, I think I'm doing a pretty good job of staying incognito as someone who doesn't hate the series, but we'll see.

Woah I didn't comment already? Thanks for much for making this available! I just finished reading it and reviewing it on goodreads. Loved it and can't wait to see where else you take these characters! Now, was it just my imagination, or did you at some point mention writing James May as the Professor? Because I couldn't stop thinking about him as I was reading and didn't know if it was my own imagination or not.
