My town has been seeming taken over by scarecrows. Here is the saga (ignore my bike helmet’s askew-ness. One of the pads fell out at the post office today and wouldn’t stick back in, so it just kept slipping back. I assure you, I don’t usually wear it so high up on my damn head) (also, the videos are filmed vertically because it’s hard to ride a fucking bike and use a phone, okay?).
*next one has NSFW language
Sing it again! Hahaha
Lmfao this is the best thing I’ve seen today!
Scarecrows are done. Out. Passé. Jumped the shark. DIY bodybags are the hot new trend. 🙂
You are so awesomely talented!!! I love the song and I agree with you, get rid of the scarecrows. They’re like clowns
Your town is so awesome.
I’m guessing this was some sort of high school art project gone awry? Like it was meant to be a statement on something… But ended up just being creepy.
See, I know you’re from Minnesota. And I’m Lutheran, so even though I’m an Oklahoman living in Texas I know what people from Minnesota sound like. But I was still ASTONISHED to realize that you sound like you’re from Minnesota. /cool story bro
(Have you considered stealing the scarecrows in the dead of night and leaving chalk body outlines in their place?)
Michigan, actually! But yeah, I definitely sound like I’m from here.
Also, the stealing thing is a good idea. But there are only like 500 people in our town so I would definitely get caught.
OR you could just move them around and put them in different casual poses like 1 or 2 blocks away from their original position. And then enjoy the subsequent confusion and/or terror.
I didn’t even make the connection to Halloween. I thought it was ‘Family of Blood’ all over again and was waiting for the Doctor to make an appearance in the background.
Oh, how I wish.
There is a town around here that does the scarecrow thing too. I agree with your song.
I made a scarecrow with a broom for a head and put it in my front yard once. I was inspired by Martha Stewart.
I’ve been spending too long on the internet. Now sentences like “I was inspired by Martha Stewart” just seem inherently sardonic to me.
This is too funny! I do like the chalk outline idea, though! 🙂

Have you seen this village in Japan? This artist is creating scarecrows in the likeness of deceased villagers.
The only upside is this definitely the sort of creepy ass scenario where the Doctor will have arrive and save you all.
Girl, idk how you live being you in a town of 500. Same goes for D-Rock, I guess.
But back to scarecrows!!! They’re creepy! Okay, end of story!
On Halloween, people dress up like the scarecrows and sit/stand in their place, waiting to spring forth and scare the poop out of passersby who’ve been lulled into complacency by weeks of exposure to “harmless” scarecrows.
At least, that’s what some neighbors of mine did, back when i was a kid. I learned not to trust ANY scarecrows or dummies on Halloween…
Wow, is that you in the vids? What a fugloid. It’s NSFW not because of the language but because of your mug.
Just getting caught up on the blog so this is coming rather late to the conversation, but YouTube suggested this video for me after watching your first one. It tells me it’s had only the one view, but it’s definitely relevant: http://youtu.be/70qNFtAOH18
I watched the last video twice, and laughed the whole time you were singing.
