Roadhouse season 2 is on like Donkey Kong.

Posted in Uncategorized

I meant to post this last night, but YouTube was still processing the video at like 1:30 AM and I had to call it quits and get some sleep. But it worked its magic in the night, so here it is! Roadhouse, season 2, episode 1: “Gone Too Soon” in which we talk about shows that were cancelled before they had a chance to gain a following or explore their story arcs fully.

Oh, who are we kidding, D-Rock just wanted to talk some more about Firefly.

I agree about Firefly. It was just cruel that show was cancelled.

Regarding zits in your 30's. Just wait until you're in your 50's and hit perimenopause. You get to have zits, wrinkles, dry skin, night sweats and hot flashes all at the same time. It's just too much fun.

I miss your rat in the background? Where's he at?

Firefly forever! I also miss My So Called Life and Freaks and Geeks, I've spent many hours this year not studying and watching them instead.

I stopped watching serials after Invasion and Threshold got cancelled and I was left hanging. Heck, we don't even *have* cable anymore. If it's not on Netflix or Youtube, we don't see it.

Hahaha, a peninsula within a peninsula within a peninsula… I don't think I've ever followed someone's blog who lives in Michigan (where I live as well), it's kind of fun.

Best canceled before its time show, IMO: Dead Like Me

  7. for the record, Adam Baldwin is not actually related to “The Baldwins”. Which is a point in his favour, I suppose.

  8. Firefly…best cancelled show. I now TIVO everything and only watch after the second season. Too many heartbreaks from good shows being cancelled. 🙁

  9. I just love how you guys take a little over two minutes to get on topic. AWESOME.

I vaguely remember Space: Above & Beyond. I do remember the whole “chiggers” thing.

I kind of miss VHS. I recorded episodes of The Invisible Man on VHS tape and still have them stacked on the shelf under the TV in my room.

I recently finished up watching Pushing Daisies and was super pissed off by how the series ended. There were about six plot threads that hadn't been tied up, a lot of the “wrap ups” they wrote for the characters were like these last minute crappy “everyone's happy” things that didn't make sense to me.

Another Bryan Fuller vehicle, Wonderfalls, was a really cool show on Fox that lasted an incredibly short amount of time. Only a couple of episodes aired, but the full first season is available on DVD. It's weird, and funny, and emotional, and there was an episode with Rue McClanahan as a guest star.

Oh, Firefly. It will never die for me, either. I have “Serenity” in Chinese tattooed on my back, so that's pretty fucking permanent. I wanted to see more about Book's character. I was hoping so much for a Book-centric episode where we learn about just who the hell he is. I mean, the Bible is “somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps,” anyone? WHO WAS HE?!

BRISCO!!!! Oh my GOD, I loved that show to DEATH. Not only did it have Bruce Campbell, who was my hero after seeing him on Xena and Hercules as Autolycus, but it was a scifi Western! I was raised on Westerns, and I was a huge Trek fanr. It was the perfect show.

  10. YES! I loved Dead Like Me! It was just SO GOOD, and the whole idea was brilliant. I think the family/divorce/sister drama thing that got expanded on in season 2 dragged it down, though – it ended up feeling very “Dawn Summers”-ey to me, even though the situations were nothing like each other.

I Love The Jenny and D-Rock RoadHouse Show.

Brisco County was a great show. It was SO WRONG that they didn't continue it.
The main female character was Dixie. She was so cool. NOT helpless. NOT everything you don't want to see in a female lead.
    Just awesome.

Comet the Wonder Horse. Coolest. Horse. Ever. *thumbsup*
