The Trout Nation 2016 Year End Wrap-Up

Posted in Uncategorized

Is there really a way to have a “best of” with regards to 2016? I don’t want to disparage the year too much; I think I doomed us when I did that to 2015. But here are what I believe to be the highlights of this blog (from my perspective) in 2016, though even some of the highlights are dubious. And stay tuned until the end, where I will reveal the single best and worst things that happened to me in 2016.

February

March

Like, nothing exciting happened in April.

The worst thing that happened in 2016:

And no list of the highlights (and lowlights) of 2016 would be complete without

THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN 2016:

So, that’s Trout Nation’s 2016 in a nutshell. Let’s hope 2017 is less “interesting” and comes with more happiness and cheer, so our 2017 round up is better and less bleak! Onward and upward (or, as my landlord often says, “good enough”)!

Without question one of the best things that happened to me in 2016 was getting to help give one of my good friends her best thing. You continue to be fanfuckingtastic Ms Trout and I’ll be here to remind you of that whenever you need it. Hugs and love to you and the family from me and mine Pet, G and Conor xxx

2016 sucked. If 2017 could be boring, that would be great.

I’m with you there. 2017 should be one of those years they skip in history class because nothing of noteworthy happens.

  3. The best thing that happened this year was my sister got married, and I got to go to the Ren Fest in Holly and dress up for the first time for it (I was an elf). Worst was my father died, shortly after his brother, then an aunt in the summer, then my sweet kitty Jake in November. I did adopt a new kitty, Ivan, a Russian Blue from the Allegan Co. animal shelter. He’s been something else.
